Slammin’ Sammon Sails South
By Bobby Ciofani

Mr. Sammon, who has been a familiar face around the theology department for the last two years, has decided that he is going to leave Ignatius this year also. He has decided to accept a study/ teaching program at Catholic University in Washington D.C.
After two years of teaching Morality to sophomores and Jesus and Discipleship to juniors and seniors, Mr. Sammon has decided that this chance is too big for him to pass up. “It’s such a great opportunity, that I cannot not take it.” In this blast of litotes, Mr. Sammon showed his deep devotion to education and the pursuit of knowledge, which is very apparent to all of the kids he has had in class. Junior Robert Ciofani praised Mr. Sammon saying, “Slammin’ should remain a core of the theology department. Unfortunately, he is leaving. But you know, he is marrying an Italian woman. Go Mr. Sammon!”
Have a great time in Washington, Mr. Sammon, and good luck in the future.
